Abuse of drugs, alcohol and the overwhelming culture of pornography has carved a deep ravine into the landscape of the accepted coping skills of life.
Child maltreatment in the past ten years is in epidemic proportions as is childhood fatalities due to abuse and neglect by a parent or family member.
And due to child maltreatment, Foster care and Kinship care is on the rise as well as adolescence who are aging out of foster care with little to no biological family supports.
Sadly, teenage suicide is increasing as well as teenage rape, pregnancy, abortion and drug use among middle and high schools.
It has been projected that within three years, 65% of families will be separated, 20% from drugs and alcohol, 15% from abuse and 30 % from divorce....

By the year 2020, staggering statistics show we will have less traditional marriages, more children will die of abuse and neglect, more youth in foster care, more fatherless homes, more single parent homes, more kinship and grandparent care, and simply more crisis in families.
It is estimated that 22,500 children will die of abuse and neglect mostly before their 5th birthday ....
